Busy Schedules and pet Ownership

This Lil Dog of Mines is here to support pets and their families as they navigate life and busy schedules. We understand the need for balance in those areas and that life happens, and that balance gets thrown off. The holidays and work and household schedules can leave little time for all the TLC your pets need.

If you’re feeling the challenges of pet ownership and a busy schedule, this one’s for you!

Let’s look at some ways to help with a smooth process.

  1. Give TLDOM a call! We offer services like pet sitting, dog taxi, dog walking, and waste cleanup. We’ll even grab your mail! These services are not limited to dogs. We’ve got all kinds of four-legged clients, and we absolutely love them all!

  2. Keep a list of doggy daycares and sitters that your pets love and you trust. Utilizing friends and family for overnight stays can come in handy. You could also check with your fellow pet owners to see who they use for private overnight care or all-day care. This will help ensure that they are safe and cared for properly.

  3. Exercise them when you exercise. Sometimes, schedules get hectic, or you have longer work hours. Utilize your exercise time, and include your dog.

  4. Make their space at home comfortable and fun. Take a trip to your favorite pet store and grab a few things you know your pet will love and enjoy throughout the day. Be sure that all their favorite things are close by and easily accessible. Some dogs even enjoy the TV. Did you know YouTube has Dog TV?? YES! Try it out and see if it’s something your pet would enjoy while you’re away from home.

  5. Make the most of your time. Take time to bond and love on your pet when there is downtime. These moments go a long way. It may also be the mood booster you need while facing life challenges. You’d be surprised what a 10-minute snuggle can do for you and your pet.

The important thing is finding a routine that works for you and allowing yourself some time for trial and error. Stay in tune with what your pet needs and wants. As with everything, pet ownership has its ups and downs. We hope this blog helps you navigate through them. If you’ve mastered the art of scheduling with a pet, drop a comment and leave us some suggestions. We’d love to hear what is working for you.
